Health Equity Circle members from across the state of Washington, including many from the WSU College of Medicine, lobbied at the Washington State Capitol in Olympia recently. The multidisciplinary group included students pursuing careers in health care, from medicine to nursing and social work to public health.
Students from Washington State University, Eastern Washington University, and Gonzaga University represented eastern Washington. The students learned more about the legislative and lobbying process and met with more than 70 legislators to advocate for health-related legislative bills.
