MD Student Presents Radiology Research at Symposium

Inland Northwest Research Symposium

Michael Durka, a third-year medical student at the WSU College of Medicine, and Jocelyn Wu, MD, a PGY-1 transitional year resident at the Spokane Teaching Health Center, presented a poster at the Inland Northwest Research Symposium at the Providence Auditorium last week.

Their case report highlights a cerebellar hemangioblastoma with radiology and pathology correlation. They were mentored over the past year by Julie Kaczmark, MD, assistant professor and radiology lead at the College of Medicine.

Durka intends to apply for a radiology residency next year. Wu will begin a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Utah this July.
