WSU Team Represents Medical Student Needs at National Conference

Members of the WSU College of Medicine Student Affairs team and two medical students recently attended the AAMC 2024 Group on Student Affairs (GSA), Careers in Medicine (CiM), Organization of Student Representatives (OSR) National Meeting in San Francisco. The collaborative platform brings together academic leaders, professional staff, and learners who represent medical student needs and are shaping the future of medicine.

The event was attended by Leila Harrison, PhD, MA, MEd, vice dean for admissions, student affairs, and alumni engagement, Tina Lindquist, PhD, assistant dean for student programs, Courtney Batts, MS2, Harikrat Minhas, MS1, and Lisa Burch-Windrem, MEd, assistant dean for student affairs.

Harrison participated in two presentations, Race-Neutral Admissions: Effective Strategies from Four Medical Schools and Supporting Non-Clinician Leaders in Medical Education.
