Classified staff across the Washington State University system are in line to receive a general salary increase later this summer.

Non-represented classified staff (civil service) will receive a 3% general salary increase effective July 1. This adjustment was funded in the State of Washington’s 2023–25 operating budget.

Faculty and administrative professional employees will receive an increase later in the year, with more information expected soon.

Salary increases for employees covered by collective bargaining agreements will take place on schedules negotiated in their contracts. This year’s state supplemental budget includes $2.5 million of the $4.9 million requested to help pay for the university’s first-ever collective bargaining agreement with academic student employees. That funding is only guaranteed for fiscal years 2024 and 2025.
