The latest episode of the CougsFirst! podcast highlights the experiences of Pierce Claassen, MD, and Kyanna Cusick, MD, recent graduates of the College of Medicine MD program.
Host Kelsey Knutson interviewed Claassen and Cusick about their backgrounds, personal journeys to studying medicine at WSU, and what’s next for them after graduation. They also discuss the college’s mission to serve in rural communities across Washington.
Following their graduation from the college in May, both Claassen and Cusick are heading into residency programs at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona this summer. As resident physicians, Claassen will further his training in internal medicine and Cusick in diagnostic radiology.
