MD Student, Faculty Volunteers Wanted for 2026 Pacific Northwest Pre-Health Symposium

A large group of people pose for a photo in a spacious room with arched ceilings and modern lighting, each holding a certificate. They are arranged in rows, standing and seated, suggesting a formal event or recognition ceremony. Round tables with white tablecloths and items like water bottles and boxes are visible in the foreground.

Medical students and faculty are wanted to attend the 2026 Pacific Northwest Pre-Health Symposium to share their insights with students exploring careers in medicine. Hosted by the nonprofit Premed Advisory Program, the event will be held at WSU Pullman on April 13 from 4:00–8:00 p.m.

This free community event will bring together 350–400 attendees including undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, physicians, researchers, and health care professionals for an evening focused on mentorship, research, and professional development.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Network with health care professionals, mentors, and researchers
  • Attend professional development sessions
  • Present their research during the poster session
  • Connect with others interested in health care careers

MD program volunteers are wanted to assist with the suturing workshop and attend the networking dinner. Attendance for part or all of the program is appreciated.

Nearly a dozen WSU medical students and faculty members attended last year’s symposium.

“This was such a meaningful experience for our team,” said WSU student and Premed Advisory Program founder Bodi Abdelrazek about the 2025 event. “Having medical students from the WSU College of Medicine join us brought incredible value and perspective for our undergraduates.”

Visit the Pacific Northwest Pre-Health Symposium website to register (choose “General Registration”) or view the event agenda. For questions, contact Abdelrazek at a.abdelrazek@wsu.edu.
