Medical Ethics Advisor featured the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine’s Certificate in Medical Ethics in a recent article about ethics committee members’ need for practical ethics education.
“We realized that these individuals weren’t looking to get a master’s degree or PhD, but instead were interested in becoming more qualified—or at least better familiar with ethics, and with the literature and the approaches,” said Program Director Thomas May, PhD, in the article. “We thought a certificate program would be a good way to address that.”
The asynchronous online program accommodates the schedules of full-time health care providers and provides a robust background in medical ethics without the time commitment of an advanced degree program.
Medical Ethics Advisor offers viewpoints on how biological, legal, financial, and moral viewpoints interrelate and shape medical decision-making.
