Match season has officially kicked off at the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine! Four future Coug Docs from the Class of 2026 have been placed into residency programs through the Military Match this month.

Please join us in congratulating the following students on their matches:

  • Bradley Martin, Family Medicine Residency Program, Naval Hospital Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL)
  • Lauren Zawacki, Pediatric Residency Program, Naval Medical Center San Diego (San Diego, CA)
  • Megan Fine, General Surgery Residency Program, Navy Medical Center Portsmouth (Portsmouth, VA)
  • Rhett Oellrich, Internal Medicine Residency Program, Madigan Army Medical Center (Tacoma, WA)

They will continue their medical training in their chosen specialties after graduating from WSU in May.

The majority of fourth-year medical students will learn where they will complete their training on the general Match Day on March 20. Stay tuned to see the next step in their journey towards become independently practicing physicians!
