Efforts are underway to bring a new family medicine residency program—and more doctors—to Moses Lake and surrounding Washington communities.
The Columbian Basin Herald highlighted a recent fundraiser hosted by Samaritan Healthcare to raise funds for the program, which is a partnership with the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.
Last year, Samaritan and the WSU College of Medicine were awarded a highly competitive Rural Residency Planning and Development Program grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), a major step forward for establishing the program.
