Washington State University Provost T. Chris Riley-Tillman recognized the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine’s Shannon Helbling, PhD, as Featured Faculty.

Helbling is an assistant professor in the Department of Translational Medicine and Physiology and serves as histology thread director for the MD program.

“Teaching at WSU means being part of a family, and together we help guide dedicated students as they build foundational clinical knowledge,” Helbling said. “There is nothing more rewarding than guiding future Coug Docs, knowing the skills and compassion they develop right here will directly serve and heal communities across Washington.”
