Submissions are open for the The Science Coalition’s 2026 Alyse Gray Parker Memorial Student Video Challenge, an annual competition where students showcase their interests and why scientific research matters.

Three student winners will receive a cash prize, ranging from $500 to $2,500.

Undergraduate and graduate students at WSU, a coalition member, are invited to submit a 60–90 second video.

Submissions are due by Oct. 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Winners will be announced in November.

Last year, WSU Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences graduate student Hannah Rae Tjelle was selected as a finalist for her video about researching cognitive decline and supporting healthy aging.

Visit the Alyse Gray Parker Memorial Student Video Challenge website to learn more about contest requirements and submit your video.
