Guiding a potential successor can be difficult. This discussion will highlight a list of variables that can support both parties navigating a mentoring relationship. Emotional intelligence, defining goals and organic versus forced connections will be explored. The conversations’ goal is to view these relationships realistically, define common barriers to successful outcomes and use tools to facilitate evaluation of compatibility.
