Educational trauma is defined as shame and humiliation in the learning environment stemming from both the learner’s prior experiences and the nature of the learning environment itself.
Join Jaime Bowman, MD, FAAFP, vice chair of family medicine as she discusses the effects this trauma has on learning, what materializes in the classroom or bedside, and strategies for interrupting, recovering from, and preventing this type of trauma.
