Where Medicine Meets the Law: What You Need to Know Now

October 1 at 12:10 pm1:00 pm PDT

October 1, 2026
12:10–1:00 p.m. PDT

Healthcare professionals navigate an increasingly complex environment where clinical practice and legal requirements intersect. This session will explore key areas where medicine and the law influence patient care, professional responsibilities, and healthcare delivery. Participants will examine real-world examples of medical jurisprudence, review the four primary sources of law and their impact on healthcare, and learn practical strategies for staying informed about evolving legal and regulatory developments. By strengthening their understanding of these issues, learners will be better equipped to recognize legal considerations in clinical practice and support safe, compliant, and patient-centered care.

This is the first session of our three-part series, Medicine on the Record, an exploration of medicine and the law. Learners are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.
