Faculty Development

The Faculty Development unit provides high-quality professional development opportunities for health professions educators and administrators to support individual growth and foster a culture of continuous learning.

In collaboration with units across the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, our team offers in-person, hybrid, and virtual learning sessions for faculty and staff, from microlearning courses to our year-long Educator Academy.

Activities are offered in live and asynchronous formats, with recordings of live sessions and other resources available on-demand through our learning management system, TalentLMS. Many activities include continuing medical education (CME) credit.

We also offer hands-on support to help faculty and staff bring their professional development ideas to life. From event logistics and promotion to guidance on CME accreditation, we ensure our partners have the tools and support they need to succeed.

WSU faculty development sessions offer inspiration, evidence-based content for medical educators and a community of practice in a growing academic campus in Everett. The wealth of expertise and perspectives amongst UME and GME programs at ESFCOM is huge and faculty development sessions allow us all to come together and examine new approaches to educating and collaborating. To be able to improve educator knowledge throughout the year, as opposed to having to wait for an annual conference and cramming, is priceless.
