Department of Health Policy and Administration

The Department of Health Policy and Administration became part of the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in 2018 and graduated its final Master of Health Policy and Administration class in spring 2019.

For 23 years, the program provided a world-class graduate education to a new generation of leaders in health administration, policy analysis, and health services research; and engaged in innovative research and service activities that improved access, quality, efficiency, and equity of health services in Washington and the U.S. Talented MHPA students went on to serve as health care leaders, researchers and policymakers locally, as well as across the state and the nation.

Due to the continuing evolution of health, the need for new ways of educating future leaders arose and the program was discontinued in 2019.
