The Office for Faculty Affairs and Continuing Professional Development is comprised of three units which work together to help faculty grow in their academic and clinical careers.
The Faculty Affairs, Continuing Medical Education, and Faculty Development Units serve all faculty in all departments across the College of Medicine. Faculty development programming is open to any interested faculty and staff and aims to provide an inclusive space for thought-provoking and engaged dialogue.
Continuing Medical Education
Continuing Medical Education offers lifelong learning opportunities for faculty and clinicians to enhance their evidence-based, patient-centered care. Our educational activities are developed by and for interprofessional teams with the goal of improving patient outcomes and advancing innovations in practice.
Faculty Affairs
Faculty Affairs oversees the development, revision, and implementation of policies, processes, and guidelines affecting all faculty across the College of Medicine. Faculty Affairs helps to connect faculty to University and College resources, advocates for individual faculty, and works with department chairs and committees to develop and standardize faculty appointment, promotion, and tenure processes.
Faculty Development
Faculty Development offers live in-person and virtual learning sessions, asynchronous eLearning opportunities, and enduring trainings geared toward educators in the health professions.
From individualized coaching on teaching methodology and practice to college-wide didactics and peer-to-peer mentoring, we provide a wide range of resources to help build an inclusive and supportive educator community.
