Staff Council

The Staff Council is the representative body for the staff of the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. The Staff Council elects members to standing committees and the Staff Council Executive Committee. The Staff Council is responsible for reviewing the Staff Council bylaws.

The Staff Council holds at least one meeting per month. The Faculty Council conducts annual elections for standing committees.

Staff Council Executive Committee

The Staff Council Executive Committee (SCEC) serves as a liaison between the staff and administration. The administration includes the Dean, Vice Deans, Associate and Assistant Deans, and the Dean’s College Executive Cabinet.

The Staff Council Executive Committee ensures transparency of the governance activities of the entities listed in the bylaws. They do this by providing the staff at large with committee rosters, terms of reference, agendas and minutes.

The SCEC is elected by the membership.

The chair of the SCEC is the Chair of the Staff Council.
