On Earth Day, April 22, the results of the 2023 Planetary Health Report Card (PHRC) were published for the college, along with 104 other health professional training programs.
Each participating school created a report card detailing strengths and areas for growth with regards to five planetary health topics: Curriculum, Interdisciplinary Research, Community Outreach and Advocacy, Support for Student-Led Initiatives, and Campus Sustainability.
The college made improvements in all areas from 2022, and most significantly in Curriculum, due to the collaboration of faculty, staff, and students to implement a new Planetary Health Curriculum. The PHRC also creates a summary report comparing scores from each program. The College of Medicine was one of the schools featured in the “PHRC-Inspired Institutional Change” section, for the significant progress made in just one year.
