Air National Guard trains in anatomy lab

WSU College of Medicine faculty and students recently had the chance to assist in training sessions for the Air National Guard. The WSU Spokane Human Anatomy Laboratory hosted 35 members of the Air National Guard’s 141st Medical Group for an emergency medical procedures training workshop on February 2. The group practiced cricothyrotomy, chest tube placement, and intraosseous vascular access.

The session was organized by College of Medicine faculty member Dave Conley, PhD. Session participants also received anatomy instruction provided by second-year medical students Razan Ali, Kaden Bergeson, Nicki Bouche, Alex Matias, Quynh Phung, and Conner Rath.
