Call for Faculty Mentors: Research Project Repository for Student Collaboration

The Office of Research is launching a repository of faculty-led projects to facilitate connections between research mentors and students eager to engage in research.

While medical students are still developing their research skills, they can contribute in meaningful ways such as data extraction and analysis, managing IRB applications, preparing manuscripts, conducting literature reviews, patient recruitment, and more. Research is a vital component of their learning, and they are enthusiastic to get involved.

To build this repository, we invite faculty members willing to serve as research mentors to submit their active projects. We’ve created a brief form that should take no more than two minutes to complete.

Thank you for your willingness to engage and continued support of our medical students! You can reach out to Olivia Coiado, PhD, assistant dean for student and resident research, at olivia.coiado@wsu.edu with questions.
