The WSU Office of Research shared several opportunities for research funding amid a shifting federal funding landscape, including rapid response grants for health equity research and NSF-funded projects with cancelled funding.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is providing rapid response grants specifically for those whose health equity-related grants were terminated. Their support is designed to help maintain momentum on vital projects addressing disparities in health outcomes.

The Spencer Foundation, in collaboration with The Kapor Foundation, The William T. Grant Foundation, and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, has launched a rapid response bridge grant initiative for researchers affected by the cancellation of NSF-funded projects. This effort is aimed at sustaining critical scholarship that was disrupted by the recent funding cuts.

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has committed $15 million in emergency funding to assist state humanities councils across the U.S., following the loss of support from the National Endowment for the Humanities. This funding will help ensure that public humanities initiatives and cultural programs can continue serving their communities.

Researchers are encouraged to contact the Office of Research should they need assistance applying for these funds.
