Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences master’s student Hannah Rae Tjelle was selected as one of the top three finalists for the national Alyse Gray Parker Memorial Student Video Challenge hosted by The Science Coalition. Voting for the final round will close on December 17 at 8:59 p.m. PST/11:59 p.m. EST.
Tjelle’s video highlights her research with Assistant Professor Amy Kemp, PhD, CCC-SLP, on how to best support adults mild cognitive impairment (MCI), enabling independent living and improving quality of life. Many adults with MCI go on to develop Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias, which poses an urgent economic and public health crisis.
The Science Coalition is a nonpartisan organization comprised of leading research institutions, including WSU, that is dedicated to supporting sustained investment in scientific research.
