Images can add interest and supportive context to your emails for those able to see them. For those using screen readers or who are unable to load the images, add alt text to ensure they can still access and understand your material.

How Do I Know If an Image Needs Alt Text?
To decide if an image needs alt text, ask yourself:
- If I removed this image, what text would I add instead?
- What is the purpose or function of this image?
If the image serves no purpose or wouldn’t change the meaning of the email if removed, mark it as decorative.
