March 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm1:00 pm PDT

Office for Faculty Affairs and Continuing Professional Development.

Writing multiple-choice questions can often be a challenging task. In this interactive workshop with Stacey Ostrin, MD, CAQSM, written assessment pillar lead, participants will learn how to create clear, high-quality questions from scratch, starting with a practical guide that breaks down the process. The session will also address common pitfalls that can arise when crafting questions, and how to avoid them. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to practice writing and refining multiple-choice questions.

Whether you’re new to question writing or looking to hone your skills, this workshop will provide you with tools to create effective multiple-choice questions.
