Clerkship Faculty Development: Enhancing Teaching, Assessment, and Professionalism

Hosted by the Office of Educational Affairs and the Office for Faculty Affairs and Continuing Professional Development, join us for a two-hour, Zoom-only session designed for Clerkship faculty to enhance their engagement and development. The session will provide a high-level overview of the evolving curriculum and assessment strategies, focusing on aspects relevant to clerkship preceptors. It will also highlight best practices in clinical teaching, including adapting to current medical school practices and student needs, and reinforce awareness and response strategies for student mistreatment. A dedicated Q&A session will allow for interactive discussion. The entire retreat will be recorded for asynchronous viewing.
The Washington State University (WSU) Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

- 1.5 MOC points in the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification (CC) Program.
