This event is hosted by the Office for Faculty Affairs and Continuing Professional Development.
In this session, Sonam Kiwalkar, MD, FACP, MEHP and Jennifer Strouse, MD will introduce the core principles of gamification and game-based learning in medical education, highlighting evidence for how games enhance learner engagement, motivation, and knowledge retention. We’ll connect game design to Bloom’s taxonomy and learning objectives, demonstrate short, low-prep game strategies that fit seamlessly into existing teaching, and showcase successful examples. By the end, faculty will be supported in designing a mini game-based learning activity they can immediately apply in their own sessions.
This is intended for College of Medicine faculty and staff only.
Please note: This session will be recorded and made available on TalentLMS approximately 2-3 weeks after the session.
