Apply for the 2024-2025 Educator Academy Cohort

Educator Academy

The Office for Faculty Affairs and Continuing Professional Development (OFACPD) is excited to launch the second cohort of the College of Medicine Educator Academy for the 2024-25 academic year.

What is this academy?

The Educator Academy (EA) is designed to create a community of practice among both faculty and staff who identify as educators in a Plan-Learn-Reflect-Respond cohort model.

Who is the EA for?

The Educator Academy from OFACPD is for any faculty or staff member at the college who self-identifies as an educator and is motivated to help elevate the overall educational experience at the college. It is focused on skill building in evidence-based teaching, assessment, and evaluation.

If you are looking to build your skills in educational scholarship/research or dig into the evidence around medical/health professions education, we recommend you check out the Educational Scholars Program, sponsored by CIPHERS.

How will the cohort be chosen?

We have an enthusiastic advisory group of faculty and staff who will help to select this year’s cohort. Our advisory group is made up of our wonderful colleagues, as well as graduates of the first EA cohort. Our first cohort has provided feedback that informs how we grow and build the Academy over the coming years.

How can I apply? Where can I learn more?

Fill out our Asana form more information and/or to fill out an application. This application cycle will remain open until April 30, 2024, for an anticipated cohort start date in September 2024.
