WSU Spokane, Fred Hutch Cancer Center to Host Specimen and Data Access Network Symposium

WSU Spokane and the Fred Hutch Cancer Center will host the third annual Specimen and Data Access Network (SAN) Symposium on June 3 at the Spokane campus.

The symposium provides an opportunity to connect with Pacific Northwest research institutions and learn about innovations in specimen data sharing, cancer screening, and advances in omics technologies. 

Talks will cover topics including:

  • Transforming biobanking through AI and machine learning tools
  • Strategies and platforms for secure and efficient data sharing
  • Overcoming screening barriers in rural areas
  • Genomic toolkits
  • Advances in proteomics and multi-omics technologies
  • Future of spatial biology
  • Navigating the future of research funding
