A recent episode of Health Matters on the PBS station KSPS featured Joanna Breems, MD, FACP, an associate professor and assistant chair of internal medicine at the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.

Dr. Breems and fellow physicians on the panel discuss how to stay healthy this flu season, especially amid an uptick of cases driven by the variant subclade K.

They explain symptoms that differentiate influenza from the common cold, who is most at risk for complications, the protection offered by vaccination, and more.
