Olivia Willis and Victoria Caldera, second-year medical students at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, presented their research at the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) national annual conference last month in Atlanta.
Their project was titled “Emergency Department Care Differences of Abdominal Pain for Patients with a Primary Language other than English.”
Jamie Kennel, PhD, MAS, Vancouver acting regional associate dean at the WSU College of Medicine, served as faculty advisor. Oregon Health & Science University’s Jack Marshall, MD, MBA, and Todd Ellingson, MD, MBA, served as co-authors.
