Regional Education

While medical students spend their first two years at the college’s main campus at WSU Spokane, each student is assigned to one of four regions. These areas are located in Everett, Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver. Students are given the opportunity to begin precepting with our clinical faculty at the clinical sites during five individual Clinical Campus weeks during their pre-clerkship years (Years 1 and 2). Students then move full-time to the assigned regional medical campus for their clerkship years (Year 3 and 4).

Each area is named after the WSU campus it is associated with, however the regions the students will learn in are far-reaching beyond the major city.

Vancouver region in the southwestern part of the state. Tri-Cities region located in the Southeastern part of the state.
