Strives to shape the next generation of physicians and improve patient care by inspiring resident trainees to develop skills and core competencies required of effective medical educators.

Goal

To develop and implement a longitudinal medical education curriculum for Internal Medicine residents to:

  1. Gain proficiency teaching in diverse clinical settings
  2. Apply principles of adult learning to teaching experiences
  3. Design effective medical education interventions

Structure

  • Apply late PGY1 year
  • Meet with advisor twice yearly
  • Complete requirements over 2 years
  • Graduate with MedEd certificate
